Opnieuw zijn er weerenkele nieuwe outtakes verschenen van Emma’s promotieshoot voor de film ‘Beauty and the Beast’ uit 2017.

Begin dit jaar verscheen de ‘Harry Potter’ reunië special ‘Return to Hogwarts’ op HBO Max in de VS. In de special werd ook een fout gemaakt die opgemerkt werd door fans, een jeugdfoto van actrice Emma Robert was te zien i.p.v. een foto van Emma Watson. De fout is inmiddels aangepast door het productieteam. Ook is inmiddels duidelijk dat schrijfer J.K. Rowling wel te zien was in de special, als was dit via archiefmateriaal van eerder opgenomen interviews.
Natuurlijk zijn ook enkele nieuwe promotiefoto’s verschenen, deze staan nu in de galerij. Screencaptures staan inmiddels ook online!

Fotograaf Terry O’Neill heeft in 2019 enkele nieuwe outtakes gedeeld van de eerste fotoshoot van Daniel, Rupert en Emma waarin aangekondigd werd dat zij de hoofdrollen hadden in Harry Potter.

‘Harry Potter: Return to Hogwarts’ is op 2 januari te zien in Vlaanderen op de streamingsdienst Streamz. Op 1 janauri zal de Vlaamse streamingsdienst ook alle 8 ‘Harry Potter’ films toevoegen. Het vooralsnog niet niet bekend of en zo ja wanneer de special in Nederland te zien zal zijn.
Emma staat op #6 van de website YourGov lijst met meest bewonderde vrouwen van 2021.

De eerste trailer voor de ‘Harry Potter: Return To Hogwarts’ special is verschenen!
Hier is het volledige panel dat Emma gehost heeft tijdens de Cop26.
Emma heeft op social media haar ervaringen met haar bezoek aan de Apricot Lane Farms gedeeld. Dit was één van haar verjaardagwensen dus vermoedelijk bezocht ze de plek afgelopen april. Ze raakte hier geinspireerd door na het bekijken van een de documentaire ‘The Biggest Little Farm’ in 2019.

De Amerikaanse streamingsdienst HBO zendt op 1 januari 2022 de nieuwe ‘Harry Potter’ special uit genaamd Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. Hierin zullen ‘Steen der Wijzen’ regisseur Chris Columbus, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint en vele andere castleden uit alle 8 films in te zien zijn. Met deze special viert de streamingdienst de verjaardag van de franchise: het is precies twintig jaar geleden dat Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in première ging.
Voorals nog is bekend dat overige castleden Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, Tom Felton, James Phelps en Oliver Phelps ook te zien zullen zijn in de special waarin met interview teruggeblikt zal worden op het maken van de films.
Emma deelt het volgende op haar instagram over de aankomende special:
“Harry Potter was my home, my family, my world and Hermione (still is) my favorite fictional character of all time. I think a journalist once said it was irritating how many times during an interview I mentioned how lucky I was and started counting… BUT I DAMN WELL KNEW!!! And still know.
I am proud not just of what we as group contributed as actors to the franchise but also as the children that became young adults that walked that path. I look at my fellow cast members now and I am just so proud of who everyone has become as people. I am proud we were kind to each other that we supported one another and that we held up something meaningful.
Thank you to the fans that have continued to show their support well after the last chapter closed. The magic of the world wouldn’t exist without you. Thank you for fighting to make it such an inclusive and loving place.
I still miss the crew who made these films all the time. Thank you for all of your hard work too – I know your contributions sometimes get overlooked.

In een interview heeft regisseur Chris Columbus dat de eerste versie van ‘Harry Potter en de Steen der Wijzen’ die aan voor test publiek in Chigago te zien was 3 uur lang was. Reacties van ouders waren toen dat de film te lang was en de kinderen vonden de film te kort. Hierna is de film toch ingekort en zijn vooral de scenes van Peeves (aka Foppe de Klopgeest) verwijderd werden. Hij laat weten dat Peeves terug moet in de film daarop de de hastag #ReleaseThePeevesCut trending geworden op twitter in de hoop dat de lange versie van ‘Harry Potter en de Steen der Wijzen’ er gaat komen.
