Het tweede boek dat Emma gaat lezen voor haar boekclub ‘Our Shared Shelf’ is bekend. Dit zal het boek ‘All About Love: New Visions’ van schrijfster Bell Hooks. Dit boek is niet vertaald naar het Nederlands, maar wel te koop bij bol.com.
This month’s book choice is in honor of bell hooks who interviewed me for Paper magazine this month. Maya Angelou said of bell’s work, “Each offering from bell hooks is a major event, she has so much to give us’. I love hearing from bell, I am pretty excited to start “All About Love: New Visions”. It’s been on my list for a while.

Er is een nieuwe trailer van Emma’s film ‘Colonia’ verschenen. Dit voor de Amerikaanse release van de film, deze zal daar op 15 april in de bioscopen te zien zijn en VideoOnDemand.
Emma heeft een fotoshoot gehad met PaperMag.com. Hier is de eerder verschenen fotoshoot uit 2015 te zien, die gemaakt blijkt te zijn door fotografe Andrea Carter Bowman. Enkele nieuwe outtakes hiervan staan in de galerij.

Emma’s moving words and her work promoting gender equality through the UN’s HeForShe movement provided the first real introduction to the concept for many young women (and men). For her part, the actress says she’s identified as a feminist since she was a kid, but she also credits writer, artist, intellectual, and feminist icon bell hooks, author of Feminism is for Everybody among many other key texts, with inspiring her and helping shape her understanding and beliefs through her essays, books, and videos. And as for bell she says she is equally as inspired by Emma.

Emma Watson heeft besloten een jaar te stoppen met acteren, om zo meer aandacht te geven aan haar persoonlijke ontwikkeling en haar rol als Verenigde Naties-ambassadrice voor vrouwenrechten.
“Mijn doel is om elke week een boek te lezen. Daarnaast wil ik ook een boek per maand lezen voor mijn boekenclubje”, vertelt ze in gesprek met Paper Magazine.Watson overwoog een jaar te gaan studeren. “Maar dat ga ik uiteindelijk niet doen. Ik leer al veel van de gesprekken die ik met mensen voer en de boeken die ik lees. Ik ben eigenlijk al op de goede weg.”
De Harry Potter-actrice zal zich ook de komende tijd meer gaan richten op het initiatief HeForShe, dat ze kortgeleden als VN-ambassadrice voor vrouwenrechten opgericht heeft. Het initiatief wil mannen overtuigen om zich meer in te zetten voor gelijke rechten tussen mannen en vrouwen.
The Circle
Watson is de komende tijd nog wel in de bioscoop te zien. Zo speelt ze de hoofdrol in de boekverfilming The Circle (2016) en in de live-action-film Beauty and the Beast (2017) van Disney.
